Trend & Merchandising Intern - Rugs

Are you a soon to be or recent graduate in interior design or merchandising with a passion for home decor trends? At Balta Rugs, we're seeking interns to join us in-studio for a hands-on experience working with product portfolio analysis and trend forecasting.

Your Mission:

As a trend and merchandising intern, you will immerse yourself in the research process, from initial product scoping to final report on specific trend areas of Balta sales channels. Working alongside our experienced design and marketing teams, you'll have the chance to not just research where trend is going, but also drive decisions that impact thousands of designs in our portfolio.

Your Impact:

• Research specific trend areas and sales channels in North America
• Consolidate and distil abstract trend findings into management ready reports with strategic suggestions
• Collaborate closely with the Product Design Manager to dive into key areas of focus
• Participate in design and trend research, making impact on long-term direction of Balta Rug development strategy

Your Skills and Experience:

• Pursuing or recently completed Bachelor's degree in interior design, merchandising, or related field
• Keen interest in Home Textiles and Décor
• Proficiency Microsoft office
• Analytical mind, with an eye for trend
• Exposure to trend research tools
