Balta Group is the largest producer of textile floor coverings in Europe, with over 3,800 employees globally. Balta Home US, the American area rug division of Balta Group, is expanding its footprint in America, and is looking for an experienced customer service representative to help service an established book of national retailers.

As a key member of the team, a customer service representative is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of orders through our fulfillment centers, as well as acting as a liaison sales, distribution, logistics and customers.


  • Provide clear, prompt, detailed, empathetic, and customer-oriented support to our consumers
  • Oversee automated order flow via EDI/API platform, monitoring, solving, and documenting exceptions. Don’t worry, you don’t need to be an EDI/API guru, we’ve got you covered.
  • Manage day-to-day of retailer portals, specifically issues relating to orders and fulfilment
  • Input and process manual orders and requests in a timely manner
  • Respond quickly and professionally to internal and external inquiries
  • Acknowledge and help resolve customer issues with appropriate urgency
  • Communicate and coordinate with cross functional team
  • Send updated order information to customers either via portals or email communication
  • Communicate all sales order issues to appropriate member of the sales team
  • With respect to process and continuous improvement, be ready to problem solve with urgency, while learning and improving based on learnings.
  • Cross-train on multiple accounts – we want our team to be able to take time off, and trust his/her work is covered by an experienced colleague


  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage time effectively
  • Willingness to ask for help, and to support others in need
  • Computer proficiency to include MS office, specifically Excel functions and pivot tables
  • Natural problem solving skills
  • Previous customer service in a wholesale environment, ideally with national accounts and big box stores
  • Proven experience with vendor portals
  • Ability to work from Balta’s Rome or Atlanta, GA office
